My name is Jade and I like to run.  I go to running club with Coach Audrey and Coach Jim and they teach me how to be a good runner.  I also like to run with my sister Maya.

I ran my first race on Sunday with my mom and my sister.  It was called the Kaiser Women’s Fitness Festival and it was a 5K.  A 5K is 3.1 miles.  I worked really hard and ran the whole way.  I got an AWESOME medal when I finished the race that looks like a feather.  Do you like to run?

Hello, I am a student in Miss Kloczko's class. I love colors and today the art show had lots of color. My toucan was bright. The bill was green, bright like a lime. I love my art class. My mom made a donation and I put a "sold" sticker on my picture.

My favorite chant is Take Me into to the Rainforest. And I love the the Statue of Liberty song, because it has lots of information and the tune is great. And now I am going to sing it to my mom and read a book because is bedtime.

Ryan’s Minecraft World

Creative mode

1. Did you know that in Minecraft you can build lots of stuff in creative mode.
2. You can also make a house in creative mode!

                                                             Survival mode

1. Survival mode is a dangerous place.  Do you know why?  When the sun is down, mobs come out like 1.  Spiders 2.  Skeletons  3.  Zombies 4.  Endermen.
2. And do you know what is so funny in Minecraft? You have to find blocks, destroy the blocks, and then build it.

1. Did you know in Minecraft you can fly.  The name is called Electra.
2. This is how to use Electra in creative mode. 1.  Fly up. 2.  Touch the space bar 2 times. 3.  Touch the space bar 1 more time. 4.  Use the mouse to control to fly.

My favorite European animal is the hedgehog. It's cool because it has over 5000 spines. I love the hedgehog because it rolls into a ball and when it sees its predator, its spines pop up. I do not like it because it eats snails. I would eat meat instead. European people eat snails.

Story of Cancun

 

On Wednesday, December 23rd, I went to Cancun with my family. I enjoyed flying in the airplane. We put  our suitcases in the compartment. I played UNO with my brother. I drank some orange juice and ate Ritz. I saw the earth while sitting in the airplane. We had a connecting flight from Denver and then we finally arrived in Cancun. We went to the hotel and rested for an hour and then went out for dinner. We ate Mexican food. It was delicious. We booked a combo tour for Xcaret and Xel Ha. The next day we went to Xcaret. I put on a life jacket and flippers and swam in the river with my family. We watched dolphins swimming in the river. I had fun sitting in the hammock and then we went for lunch and we ate a delicious buffet. We went to the beach and had lots of fun. I watched an acrobatic show and ate popcorn. We went back to our hotel. The second day I went to Xel Ha, another tourist place, and I did cliff jumping from 30 feet. I also did a zipline and fell in the water. It was so much fun. The third day day I went to Chichenitza and learned something new about Mayans. They built a pyramid. I took a picture with my family. There was a lizard keeping guard for the Mayans because the Mayans don't exist anymore. I took pictures of the lizard. It was cool. I bought a Chichenitza bag. Then we went back to our hotel. The next day in the morning I went to the kids club. I had fun playing ping pong. We flew back home in the afternoon and I was happy to be back to my sweet home.

What I did on my Winter Break:

I went to Lake Tahoe with my cousin. He was 13 years old. It was snowing. It was fun.
We were in a hotel room but we were in different room . We stayed a night. We had breakfast.
We went to sled. It was fun. After Lake Tahoe we drove to San Francisco.
We went to Muir Woods. After we went to our hotel room but we were in different room. We ate pizza. We played one game, Uno. We stayed a night. We had breakfast. We did 17 mile drive. It was fun. We went to Mystery Spot. It was fun. We got a shark tooth and a lollipop and magnet. WE GOT A TOUR AT MYSTERY SPOT! We went back to the hotel. We slept. We had breakfast. We went to Crookedest Street. It was fun. We went to Pier 39. We looked at shops. My favorite thing at the shops was the shells. I saw a lion seal. Here is a video.

My cousin went back to Dubai. Then my 15 year old cousin and 11 year old cousin came for a sleepover. They got us gifts and we got them gifts. After we did a magic show.
We went to sleep. We woke up. We went to ice skate. I did not know how to skate and my cousin taught me to skate.

My Trip To Alaska

We went on an airplane to Alaska. It took five hours to get there and my cousin came with us.

We saw the Northern Lights on the airplane. They were white instead of green and blue.

Alaska is cold. We saw it snow for a little bit.

We went ice skating at my friend's house. We went sledding and we crashed into the snow.

We stayed at my grandma and grandpa's house. I want to go to Alaska again, but next time I want to go in the summer!

Mickey Mouse by Alex

Hi. My name name is Alex and my blog is about Mickey Mouse.

Walt Disney said "it all started with a mouse." But Walt Disney was going to name him Mortimer Mouse. What made everybody like him was lots of little kids liked him. He is also my favorite
character. And I have more than that to tell you. I met him three times when I went to
Disney World and I met more Mickey Mouse characters. I met Goofy, Minnie, Donald, and
Pluto.

First grader, Anahi, did some research on orangutans at home and wants to share what she learned with you! She also found some pictures and a video to share!

How many types of orangutans are there?
There are two species or types of orangutans.

Where do orangutans live?
Orangutans live in Indonesia and Malaysia on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. These are the only places where they live in the wild.

What does orangutan mean?
The word orangutan comes from the Malay language and means "person of the forest"-- from the words "orang," meaning people, and "hutan," meaning forest.

I Love to Oil Paint (Student Blogger: Thomas)

I love to oil paint.  My Papa Mike is an artist and he started teaching me how to paint when I was 5 years old.  I entered my first oil painting in the CA State Fair last year and I got 3rd place. It was cool to have my painting up during the fair.

I like using the fan brush to make grass and bushy trees. I have to be very careful when I paint because oil paint will not come out of my clothes.  I have to be very careful with my paintings because they can take a month to dry.  I just entered 3 more paintings in the fair this year.  Two of my paintings are of Africa because when I was working on them I was learning about it in class. My last painting is of Big Trees State Park. I go there every summer with my family.

Minecraft (Student Blogger: Parker)

I like Minecraft because everything is a square.  It is cool.  You can make everything.  My favorite thing to make is a house.  To make a house I would use blocks made out of diamond ore, or gold ore, or coal ore.  The hardest part of Minecraft is not dying from a creeper.  I hope I can play Minecraft this weekend!

I really like the Sacramento Kings.  I also like the San Jose Sharks.  I like the Kings more because they are from Sacramento.  We are going to a Kings game on April 5th and I am really excited.

One day I went to the reptile show. There was a lot of reptiles. The snakes were hissing and the lizards were climbing. I like the reptile show.

Reddy, The Red Panda (Student Blogger: Katherine)

Listen up I have to tell you something. This is my favorite animal at the zoo. It's a red panda. At the zoo I got a stuffed animal that is a red panda and I named her Reddy! I learned new things about the red pandas. I learned they are related to racoons, they live in Asia, they live in trees, they are omnivorous, but they usually eat bamboo, they are nocturnal, and they are endangered. They get endangered by people cutting down too many trees that they live in. And people like to catch them because they are beautiful. If you want to meet a red panda, you don't have to go to Asia, you can go to the Sacramento Zoo. The End!

I have many skylanders.  I have many cards also. I have Giants.  I have lots of the traps but I don't have kaos or unknown.  I also have lots of skylanders.

Pokemon (Student Blogger: Jacob)

I like Pokemon because they have collectible cards.  I use my cards to battle against other people, especially Jalen.

I started out with a Pokemon card with the maximum damage of 50.  Now I have a card with 150 damage.

Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon card, even though he only has a maximum damage of 40. This is Ash's beginner Pokemon. Ash is a Pokemon trainer. He also has Oshawott which is a water type Pokemon. Scraggy is another one of Ash's Pokemon. Snivy is also his Pokemon.

The object of trading cards is to get stronger Pokemon cards to win battles.

Ash travels with friends to different cities to earn badges. These badges help him become a Pokemon Master. A Pokemon master is the highest level of battle.

Pokemon evolve into stronger Pokemon. For example, Tangela is a basic Pokemon who evolves into Tangrowth. He goes from 20 maximum damage to 60 maximum damage.

One of my "EX" Pokemon named Gallade has up to 130 damage. You can only use 130 damage for one turn but not the next turn.

I like Pokemon!!!!!!!!!
