We were at Donner Lake waiting for our turn to ride on the big float behind the jet-ski. While I was waiting sort-of patiently, I explored the coniferous forest, and I found a really cool tree that had twisty branches. Then, I discovered some tiny pebbles and some sand that was good wet sand and some sticks. Then I made a sand castle while I was waiting so it could be fun while I was waiting. My favorite pinecone I found was the triangle one. The other ones look all cool, but they are all normal.
i liked your report soooooooo much! from zane

Dear Milana,
ReplyDeleteI love Donner Lake and I'm so glad that you are our first student blogger! I think it is SO cool that you got to visit the habitat that we are learning about! I wonder if any bald eagles or bears were there at the same time as you. What do you think?

Wow, Milana! Congratulations at being the first blogger! You must take after your techie daddy :) I liked how you explored everything and found something fun to do so waiting wouldn't seem so bad. Great idea! And look what you found - a triangle pine cone! Nice vocabulary too; not many six year olds know what coniferous means. You should be proud of yourself! Love, "Auntie" Brook
