We were at Donner Lake waiting for our turn to ride on the big float behind the jet-ski. While I was waiting sort-of patiently, I explored the coniferous forest, and I found a really cool tree that had twisty branches. Then, I discovered some tiny pebbles and some sand that was good wet sand and some sticks. Then I made a sand castle while I was waiting so it could be fun while I was waiting. My favorite pinecone I found was the triangle one. The other ones look all cool, but they are all normal.
i liked your report soooooooo much! from zane

ReplyDeleteMilana,
ReplyDeleteWow! This sounds like a great trip to Donner Lake. I love it there. The area is so beautiful. Did you do any hiking? Was the water cold? Did any fish swim by you?

Wow, Milana! Congratulations at being the first blogger! You must take after your techie daddy :) I liked how you explored everything and found something fun to do so waiting wouldn't seem so bad. Great idea! And look what you found - a triangle pine cone! Nice vocabulary too; not many six year olds know what coniferous means. You should be proud of yourself! Love, "Auntie" Brook

It has been so fun being in your class and being all your friends. It is so cool that you found a triangle shaped pine cone. I have not been to the coniferous forest for a little while. And Miss Kloczko, you are a good teacher too if I say so. - Olivia
