Whales have teeth and baleen. The orca whale has teeth. The blue whale has baleen. The orca whale has a big white spot that is not an eye. The blue whale eats krill and plankton. The blue whale is the biggest whale on Earth. Did you know that the orca whale can do tricks? Did you know that the blue whale is a mammal? The blue whale can float in the water. The orca whale is a carnivore. The blue whale is a baby born alive.
Maya,
ReplyDeleteThat was a great comparison between two very different whales. I remember learning about whales when I was your age too. I have seen orca whales, but I have never seen a blue whale. Did you know that in Washington, where I live, people often go on trips so that they might see a whale coming up to breathe? It is a very popular activity.
