Student Blogger: Tony

Tony and his classmates got to experience what blubber feels like and how it keeps whales warm in cold temperatures!

Blue whales have two blowholes.
Blue whales have baleen to help them eat krill and plankton.
Blue whales weigh 400,000 pounds.
Orcas are black and white. They only have one blowhole.
They are called the wolf of the sea because they hunt in pods.
They eat seals. They have a dorsal fin.

I like blue whales the best because they are my favorite color.

    1. Elliott's mom,

They have two blow holes because they are so big and they need oxygen to breathe in and out.

  6. Tony,

I like your blog post. And did you know that orca whales pray are leopard seals. How they get them is by going close to the seals and turning around and going back to make a wave. The wave knocks them into the water and then they can eat them.
