Student Blogger: Angela

Hello, my name is Angela.
I am a new student, and I love Star Academy. The things that I like the best are art and the writers workshop. Today, I would like to talk about STAMINA days.
The kids and I get to write about anything we want. Sometimes I write a story about a super hero pup, and sometimes I write about my favorite music. I also try to write parts of songs that I know. I like STAMINA because I feel like I get to work forever and I will never stop. When Miss Kloczko puts the timer on, we start to write, and Miss Kloczko does too. I think she writes about us, or she might write about her life. Sometimes, I don't finish my work, but I don't feel bad because Miss Kloczko lets us go back to our old work and finish it the next STAMINA day. I get to write things that I forgot and new things too. I like STAMINA because it is quiet and independent work time. I think that it will help me to be a better writer, and it will make me smarter.

  2. It is so important to build stamina when we read and write!
Is wonderful to hear your teacher gives you the time to write and revisit previous entries!
Do you have any other stories you like to write?

  4. Dear Angela,
I'm so excited to hear that you like our stamina days! I have noticed that you can write for a long time, and you do something that great writers do... you go back to your writing and you add to it to make it even better! I can't wait to read your super pup story when it's finished. Keep up the good work!
    Love,
    Miss Kloczko

  5. Angela,

Stamina days sound like a blast! I love when we have the opportunity to write about any topic for as long as we can. It sounds kind of like a bike race in your classroom. Next time I am in your classroom I hope you will show me some of your writing.

  8. Dear Angela,
It is great to hear about the stamina writing in your classroom. My daughter, Makena and I think that your story ideas sound interesting. She especially likes that you write down song lyrics. How much time do you practice stamina writing each day?
